Are you suffering post tibia fracture?
Crooked leg 6 months post surgery pain unbearable. Went to another trauma orthopedist in Fairfax Va. exrays plate attached to nothing. 1 crew also just dangling…..bone way off center. Had 1 surgery June 12 failed hardware removed. Surgeon worried about infection as there was a red area at swelling where bone end was being held only by muscle in calf so he cleaned area with some antibiotic wash and replaced plate and 6 screws and took 5 cultures and put in an antibiotic plug at end of bone after grinding down to healthy bone. Leg straightened to within 1 degree….wound vacuum…..pain? None. Nerve block for 18 hr post op wore off no pain at all. Will have a 2nd surgery July 7 to put in plate on lateral side of tibia. Non weight bearing for 12 weeks. There is a distinct light at tunnel end after no hope. I knew the 1st surgeon miss managed this case from the get go and was not going to have him touch me again. I relate this to show there are ways to improve the situation u may find yourself in.
