Are you on a biologic?

I have recently begun my latest auto-immune gig- psoriasis ( I have several). I have been told to start on a biologic injection but my GP is concerned about being on a biological before getting a septal myectomy because the biological makes it easier to get very sick from germs and nowhere are there more germs than a hospital. Has anyone that has had heart surgery been on a biologic? Thanks!!
