Aquablation Post-Op Concerns
18 months ago I had the UroLift procedure for BPH issues. I was told to be patient. I waited almost a year before being told it didn't work, as my prostate was like dough and closed up around the staples....so then I pursued Aquablation ("TURP with a water jet", as my doc described it). I am now 5 days post-procedure from Aquablation which I had at Swedish Hospital in Seattle. Although I feel fine and have little blood showing up in my urine, my flow and retention is as bad as it ever was. I mean, almost worse than before I had the procedure. I'm really depressed about it. All the same issues, up 4-5 times a night, weak/disrupted/hesitant flow, and insufficient emptying. Not sure what to do now, as it may be that my bladder was the issue all along and not my prostate...? Just wondering if others have experienced a similar result and what they took as the next step to resolve with their doctor?
