anyone using Revefenacin
My newer pulmonologist, who I am not very satisfied with, has prescribed a drug for trapped air. The drug is revefenacin and has to be obtained thru a DME company named Super Care. My regular pharmacy declined it. I am very reluctant to take new drugs and this guy does seem to like prescribing them. He also wanted me to start Bresupri because I had a few day attack of hemoptysis, i believe due to being on blood thinners which i stopped per Cardiologist.
I do have BE and NTM but have been stable for the last 2 CT scans.
I guess my question is has anyone used the medication and it is used with a nebulizer.

@sheila9 This drug, brand name Yupelri, is FDA approved for COPD, especiallyshortness of breath. Here is what Mayo Clinic has to say:

Do you also have COPD? Otherwise it's an off-label use, and has a potential for drying out secretions and making airway clearance more difficult.
Is it possible that your pulmonologist is not experienced in treating bronchiectasis?
I do have moderate COPD, but I am not feeling confident in this doctor for my bronchiectasis and ntm diagnosis. Other instances where I have not felt he is really up on my diagnosis. Time to get a new Dr.
I really am not far from UCSF and would like to be referred but not sure they would accept me since I am stable and actually doing really well.
Thank you for your input and value all information I receive on the site.
@sheila9 If you have regular Medicare Part A/B, you could ask your current Pulmonologist for a referral. Don’t feel badly about it. They are asked all the time for referrals. Check the UCSF website to check on all the drs there. I’ve been to UCLA and UCSD for various other health issues. My first pulmonologist was UCSD. I did not like him/them. It was post covid, probably all the docs were on burn out (guessing), understaffed.
