Anyone tried CBD/CBN Tincture for insomnia?
Has anyone had success with CBD/CBN Tincture for insomnia? If so, what dose works for you and how late can it be taken to avoid daytime drowsiness? I've had severe insomnia for over a year and wake often during the night, usually unable to go back to sleep after 5:00am. I bought some tincture that has 10mg each of CBD and CBN from hemp, but I'm afraid to try it, wondering now if it's safe. I've tried sleep restriction therapy and had a sleep study done. The only med my doctor will prescribe is Trazodone, which doesn't always work (100-150mg/night). She also suggested Melatonin. I'm only taking 2mg but since it gives me very vivid dreams I think it interferes with deep sleep.

I bought Sleep gummies from this organic company .

They help keep me asleep about 3-4 hrs ( just take 1 ). Comes in 3 strengths .
I also have taken Ambien for years .
I try splitting my dose now 5 mg at bedtime 5 mg at first wake ( like midnight).
i buy cbd gummies with .01 thc, very low.. cbd 10 mg. seems to work but not every night.
Yeah, definitely worth trying CBN tinctures . I had some luck with them, especially when I switched things up between tinctures and sleep gummies. I started out taking about 10mg CBD, then slowly bumped up the dose over time. These days I take around 25mg before bed. It helps me feel calm and sleep more deeply.
Your fear is interfering with your sleep. I am a vietnam Vet. I have ptsd and take 2mg of melatoni, 10 mg of mirtizapine and recently 10 mg delta 8 and CBG 10 mg in the form of gummie. That last one is soooo great!
When I take the gummie I fall asleep very naturally and wake with no after effects. It is to the point that I am considering to eliminate the mirtizapine. Look at it this way ,you have receptors for the delta 8 and 9 and the cbd's. otherwise none would work!It is as 'natural" as can be. I tried the indica delta. 9 with cbn and had a 'hangover" in the morning. Nothing too baud but noticeable. The delta 8 and cbg has no hangover at least for me.
The mirtizapine does diminish the restorative phase of sleep and that's a reason I want to stop it.
I take it around 4-5 in the morning when I wake up for the second of third time and it helps me.
@drbradb1 , Can you tell me which brand of 10 mg Delta 8 gummies you are using and if it is a combination product with CBG or if they are separate products. I have tried various brands (Myriams, Cornbread, R&R) tinctures with limited success. Do you purchase these online?
Sure. Smokies Edibles is the trade name 10 mg servings of cbg: 10 mg of THC (delta 8) One green apple flavored gummie. Like I said above it is a smooth transition from wakefulness to sleep,as I don't even recall the transition. And no hangover. At least that works for me. I buy locally. I just bought for the first time from Area 52 in Oregon, online. They were actually a bit cheaper and stonger. I can cut them in half foe 12.5 mg of Delta 8 thc to 12.5 cbd. I haven't tried them yet. The e Area 52 had a nice assortment also.
