Anyone in the NYC area had spine surgery at Lenox Hill?
Hello All,
A spine physiatrist/rehab Dr referred me to a spine surgeon at Lenox Hill which, is not usually mentioned as a spine surgery center, that being said, I had a failed surgery at Och spine center which is supposed to be top notch. So I'm looking for anyone who knows anything about Lenox Hill or who has actually had spine surgery there.

If you life near NYC and would like another alternative, there is always the Hospital for Special Surgery. That said, I know nothing about their spine surgery specifically...

I live in north Florida but a new doctor in our area was a neurosurgeon at Lenox Hill for years, if I remember correctly. He moved here b/c his wife is originally from this area. I am trying to find whether he still works at Lenox Hill and will let you know b/c he is rated very high. I have been to see him here in north Florida from my many spine issues including scoliosis. I did find this reference to neurosurgeons at Lenox Hill, that Netflix did a program about them. Maybe this will help. https://www.northwell.edu/emergency-nyc

2 Reactions@bassetmom I found this additional reference to Dr. Griffin Baum, MD, neurosurgeon, affiliated with hospitals in north Florida (Tallahassee) and south Georgia (Thomasville) and Lenox Hill (nyc) He is highly rated as you can see. My thinking is, if he still goes to NY to practice, you could try to see him. OR, you could try to contact him here in north Florida and South Georgia and see if he can recommend a neurosurgeon at Lenox Hill in NYC. He has been trained in orthopedic and neurosurgery and was aT Lenox Hill for years. Here's a link. https://doctor.webmd.com/doctor/griffin-baum-49406655-3808-45e2-82ec-2c6050dbe19e-overview
