Anyone having immunotherapy with Tecentriq?

Posted by robertswinehart @robertswinehart, Dec 16, 2025

I was taking Keytruda for 16 months and developed another tumor. Just finished radiation to kill the tumor and requested my Oncologist to try a different immunotherapy. We have agreed on trying Tecentriq.
Anyone else have experience with this treatment?
I have NSCLC Squamous cell Carcinoma cancer which always grows in my bronchial airway.
Have you had good results with Tecentriq?

@robertswinehart, I did a quick search, and I'm not finding recent discussions referencing Tecentriq.
When are you scheduled to start the Tecentriq?

I started my 1st treatment 12/15/2025 and net one is 1/5/2026. Does not seem to be much information except for the web site regarding Tecentriq. I was on Keytruda for 16 months and developed a tumor in my left bronchial tube which required radiation treatment.
My oncologist was agreeable to quit Keytruda and try something else, which we settled on Tecentriq as from what i can find is better than Keytruda.
Was hoping to find others using Tecentriq and get their input, but does not seem others here are using it.
So far I am not having any reactions, though I think it is causing me some vision issues. Because of other vision issues it is difficult for me know. I will be going to my eye doctor in January and will discuss with him.

@robertswinehart , How are you feeling after your second treatment? How long do you need to wait before you know if it is effective for you?

I have had not side effects except some itching, though not too bad and Benadryl takes care of it with on tablet.
As for how long to know if effective? I was on Keytruda, scheduled for 18 treatments but after 16 and a routine pet scan the cancer had returned to my left lung.
I have more confidence in the Tecentriq I am doing now, based on the data results in their test. Guess time will be the answer.
