Anyone else suffering with Interstitial cystitis?

Yes for over a year. Several things tried and no help so far. Recently put me on low grade antibiotics for 3 weeks. Hope that may help.

nuclear: I finally found a urologist that understood. He recommended a blue pill called Hyophen that works in the kidney/bladder to keep it bacteria free. This proactive approach was a game-changer.
I will also add this: when you pee sit there a little longer until the bladder is completely empty… by not leaving a little urine in bladder bacteria doesn’t multiply & cause problems!

I have been suffering with a flareup for 5 days now. It’s just horrible. I know I made the mistake of drinking fresh orange juice whilst on a trip. I am now paying for it 😩

This happens when you’ve been pain free for more than a year then you forget that you have this hidden condition just waiting to pounce on you.

No cure really, unfortunately 🙁

Hydroxyzine HCI 25mg, Lyrica 75mg 2x/day and vaginal estrogen help me.

My last hydrodistention a year ago showed that over 26 years my bladder lining looked healthy. I still deal with a histamine problem; Hydroxyzine helps that kind of soreness. Lyrica calmed urgency until menopause and now I have to add in vaginal estrogen.

@carolinamoon I did the same thing on a trip, drank a glass of orange juice, 15 minutes later, worst flare ever .
Ruined the trip.

Trust me you are not alone. I have the same issue. It is frustrating not to be able to eat or drink things we used to enjoy. ❤️
