Any of you type 2s using Afrezza inhaled insulin?
I'm thinking of asking when I see Endocrinologist.
But don't know if it would be too much, too little, or just used occasionally in addition to the multiple daily pen injections of Lantus and Humalog insulin I've been doing the past 3 years. I'm 84 and a little leery of starting something new at this point -- especially with currently recovering from a stroke 10 months ago and in physical therapy.
In fact, if I just stick with the insulin, I can continue to see my family doctor and not have to go to an endo at all. I can simply increase dosages as needed. I tend to be too conservative, I think, since my stroke. My Libre CGM says my GMI is 8. How bad is that, do you think?

@grrranny as I said in another discussion, an endocrinologist is always a good idea when you are diabetic. Even if it is to help fine tune what you are already doing (your multiple daily injections of Lantus and Humalog). This specialist may also have insight on how best to take care of your diabetes in regards to your stroke and physical therapy.
It is good that you are using a CGM. I hope that is working well for you. Forgive me but I can’t presently remember what “GMI” is. Sometimes I have issues with abbreviations and acronyms.
