Anticardiolipin

Posted by schwartzmel @schwartzmel, Oct 31, 2022

Good morning.
Because of my ANA results, I was referred to a rheumatologist. No symptoms to report. Just an out of range anticardiolipin result. 15 on my first test and now a 19 on my second test.
Should I be concerned?
Anyone have the same results?

Hello @schwartzmel and welcome to Mayo Connect. Having elevated ANA and no symptoms or problems can certainly be confusing. I'm glad that you will be seeing a rheumatologist. This type of specialist is best able to sort out the reason for the elevated levels.

I found some information on Mayo Clinic's website which might help you in understanding this test and also the reasons for elevated levels.

Will your appointment with the rheumatologist be coming up soon?
