I am truly tired of dealing with people that do not believe that this illness exists. I am tired of the doubt and the expectations that I am able to do what I would be able to do, did I not get this 4 years ago. I see the research and although I am grateful that there is research happening, there are not definitive conclusions. It is hit or miss, everyday. That is emotionally exhausting on top of the physical symptoms. That is all I have to say.

You are correct. It drives me crazy its like people don’t want to acknowledge that COVID is bad.

4 ReactionsGotta understand. And be understanding.People don't think about 'covid'.They thinks it's gone. Those that are fine.I stopped trying to get people to see it.Waste of energy.I'm blessewd.A lot of people that shop where I work have gotten it or have it at some level(LC).I see em all. Those that know some of my story will talk about how they're feeling and what they're doing about it.My supervisor KNOWS I can be sick out of the blue with this thing. They never question me on the times(very few now)I have to be home here.
My thinking gets in the way and I struggle with low level memory at times.Thankfully it's virtually gone.
The only thing that made a HUGE difference was the predisone.Lasted about two weeks.Other than that,my doctor has tried to get my thinking squared away by having me try a couple of different ssri's.Which reacted with me TERRIBLE.On Prozac (have been for years)30mg's.Plus 25 mg's trazadone twice daily. That seems to be helping me be more mentally stable.
Praying for you the BEST and fastest recovery from this thing.

1 ReactionI am in school, online and I have a clinical field placement. I asked for a remote placement, as they are out there. I have not had that. The students with disabilities at the University has been very helpful...that being said, the placement I am in is a different story. I do take medications to help with my fatigue, and other symptoms and I am able to go, however not everyday as I wake up sometimes feeling like I am poisoned, which I now know is inflammation and post-exertion malaise. People don't say to me, "I don't believe you have Long COVID."
It is subtle comments from a specific person involved in the placement that pretty much let me know that this person does not believe me. My M.S degree is on the line for the field hours. I am supposed to graduate in August. One day at a time...
(It does really make me angry though).

8 Reactions@diverdown1..I so recommend Dr Paul Anderson.I've been saying this for months. He KNOWS what to for inflammation. Not all will work for each individual.I started watching his online videos a few years ago...Started listening and doing what he suggested. All supplements.I'm just about out of the woods with this thing.Seriously.Was it his advice?IDK.But I'm still taking some of his mentioned supplements, and added a few more for specific targeting. He said "You probably won't need to take these the rest of your life".He addresses it all...to me he's #1.Anyway...Stay positive as much as possible.Sounds like you have a great job opportunity.Hang in there.Drink lots of water...LOTS.God Bless you.

Your thoughts and feelings are real and spot on
It is very unfortunate that even at this time, over 6 years after the pandemic, that there would be anyone who doubts possible after effects from COVID infection
Your concerns regarding your impending graduation are real as well and you should not be put into a less optimal position
Are there student services that might be available to help?
So great to be near completion of your program
Long Covid can be a spoiler for sure, and makes the path more irregular and uncertain, so if you have elements you can put in place to keep your autonomy and allow for degrees of happiness, you have to find ways to do so
Good luck on your path and sending positive energy to you

3 Reactions@tiredoflc I reached out to students with disabilities at the University in and have had some accommodations while on this journey. I had to reach out to them again as I just want to have some of this stuff documented. From the outside, after I take my morning meds, I am functional, but it some days I am not. I am trying to remain positive. This has been a long journey with many road blocks. I am so grateful for this website and you folks!

5 Reactions@h2998sc I will. I remember now that you have suggested him several times. I am also fasting some. It seems to help me feel better in the mornings. Also, I am a super water drinker to the point of wishing I could drink some soda, but not going to do it! Thank you for the reply. I love the cat pic. I am attaching one of my two! I adopted them separately and they love each other which is great. The Orange Tabby, "Buddy" was found on a road wandering. He has seen many things I am sure. They are both sweet. The Tortie, Frankie Beebee, was a kitten and she is almost a year old and so mischievous!
I don't know why the pics are sideways and upside down. Apropos of how things go sometimes. 🙂

3 ReactionsI recently had a doctor visit to try to get a disability application going as I had missed 4 months of work in the past 9. The woman looked at me blankly after I told her my problems - pounding/racing heart, tremors, muscle numbness, memory loss, prickly sweats, etc - and she said, "Well, I don't know anything about COVID." Didn't try to refer me to someone who did. I think she thought I was an alcoholic who just needed another drink. I was so angry when I left, it made me decide to get well on my own. First, I was convinced that COVID had killed all the good bacteria in my gut. I was eating the healthy food, but I didn't seem to be benefitting from it. When I Googled all my symptoms, they all pointed to malnutrition. Wild plants actually have a lot of healthy bacteria, so I've been eating some daily. Also having a chia drink every day, but you can overdo that as it's a blood thinner and my nose was bleeding with 2 tbsp, so I just do a half. My symptoms have nearly all cleared up. Severe dandruff is just a bit at my temples now. No heart problems at all. Very mild tremors only occasionally.
