alignment of vision is off in left eye

Posted by cjs71 @cjs71, Jan 29 4:50pm

At my eye exam today, my left eye saw a horizon line at an angle, while the right eye saw it as horizontal, correctly. A scan was done and it showed that I have a little bump in the back of the left eye that will be monitored in 6 months. No fall or physical condition that suddenly caused this. I don't really notice it unless I close one eye and compare left and right. I'm not sure what the possible progression could be, and what I can do, if anything. I would like to hear if others have had this condition.

Did you get a diagnosis of the bump?

Hi CJS71,
I'm sorry that you have such a problem with your eye. However, it's good that you are seeing an eye doctor about it. I don't have that problem but I have had eye problems since I was 6 years old and I'm 79. I wear glasses and look out of one eye at a time. I didn't even realize this until the eye doctor told me. Also I have a mild case of Retinitis Pigmentosa which isn't really that bad. What helped my eyes a lot besides seeing an eye doctor regularly was eating foods with lutein in them. Lutein helps your eyes immensely. Frankly, everyone should eat foods with Lutein whether they have eye problems or not. It keeps your eyes healthy. Foods with lutein in them are carrots, yellow and orange peppers, broccoli, peas, corn, spinach. There are a lot more also. Just do a Google search for foods with lutein in them.

Prayer helps too! God made you and he can fix you! I'll say a prayer for you.
I wish you the best.
