Post-robotic hernia mesh repair, now tummy upset after food intake

I had robotic mesh repair of an upper abdominal hernia. Now, it is 18 months later, and there continues to be ongoing upper right quadrant pain after eating. This discomfort is soothed by drinking almond milk.
What can be wrong?

There are several things that could be happening with the mesh--adhesion to unintended parts of the body or migration. It is possible to have a recurrence of the herniation or there could be scar tissue causing pain.
You might want to consider reexamination by the surgeon.
