Gene Linked To Alzheimer's Poses A Special Threat To Women

A gene associated with Alzheimer's may be the reason why more women than men are diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. APOE4, the gene associated with the disease, doubles the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease in women. The findings from this current study add to the evidence that the risk factors for Alzheimer's are different in men and women.
