How to manage having Covid and MAC?
Home health care came out tonight and I tested positive for Covid. Prescribed antivirals and a round of Prednisone. Anyone used the drugs with othe MAC antibiotics? Is it safe?
My lungs feel heavy and experiencing new chest pains.

I was super careful. But I went to Augusta Ga to see my pulmonologist on 14 th this month (later I heard that Georgia is red state of the Covid ).I started sore throat and sneezing on 19th,2 days later I got Covid positive .
My husband didn’t like to wear masks, he got Covid 5 days before me. Living in the same house it’s impossible not to get infected by him, specially he seems not understand Covid is highly contagious .
Wish nobody else gets Covid on top of MAC. Good luck to everyone.
MAC , Covid and now pneumonia. Is there at least any hope to get back where I was?
Hi. I just tested positive for Covid (I have newly-diagnosed broncheictasis plus asthma). When I say I go nowhere indoors without a KN94 mask on, I mean it! But my daughter has been sick (though tested negative multiple times for seemingly everything out there!) and I had to take her to both a clinic and a doctor's office, so who knows.
My pulmonologist isn't around today - had the on-call one prescribe Paxlovid - and none of them really seems to know the disease where I live.
I had Covid once before, in March, and it was bad (again, then I was masked and no unmasked indoor activities or anything and no socializing but picked it up on a plane, despite masking). 20 days of bad dyspnea despite Paxlovid and prednisone and azithromycin (and this was before my broncheictasis diagnosis).
So, my question: for those of you with Bronchiectasis (and also asthma in my case), besides increasing saline and levalbutirol), and taking Paxlovid, are you automatically going on prednisone and azithromycin, too?
I am not getting good medical guidance.
Also, anything else help you?
Thanks!
