Hi @40065, and welcome to Connect. I'm Alyse, and I'm one of the community moderators here. I found some information on the causes of chronic bladder infections (http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/cystitis/expert-answers/bladder-infection/faq-20057833). This link also includes a few lifestyle changes that may reduce the chance of getting a bladder infection.

Have you talked to your doctor about this?

Yes I have talked at length to my doctor about chronic bladder infections. Last year I had the complete exam, tests, and workup from 1st urology. I am scheduled in two weeks for another urology group to find out what was missed. I also have chronic yeast infections because I'm diabetic. I try to drink the required 2 liters of water a day. I am on my third round of antibiotic this time. It is debilitating and makes me very sick and I am afraid I am getting antibiotic resistant. Anything you can help me figure out I am most appreciative. It has been so bad that I have considered a trip to the Mayo clinic. <br />

Have you ruled out "honeymooners syndrome?" Partners can often pass an UTI back and forth. It is great to have a loving partner, but have him checked also!
