I don't want to die. I'm a mommy and a wife. How can this be happening?? How can I prove to my family that they are my reason for living when my life is over?? I'm so scared.

Your fears are understandable. Living in the here and now is so important. Being with your partner and child, what are the memories you want to make with them?

@kelimarie Welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry you are in this situation and I wish I could give you a big hug. Do you feel like talking about it? What makes you think you are about to die? What symptoms, what doctors have you seen? What tests have been done? Have you gotten 2nd opinions? Why do you ask, quote "How can I prove to my family that they are my reason for living when my life is over?"

Please get this all off your chest, right here right now. Rant,, cry, vent, scream. We're listening.
Sending healing thoughts and prayers to you,
Sue

I think I can understand part of the fear that might be affecting you at this time. Let me give you an outline of what I have faced in 77+ years of life and where I am today. I'm in Hospice for cancer and have no fears of what tomorrow may hold. I started out as a childe and went through 4 stages of Epilepsy. Grand Mal. Petit Mal, Jacksonian and now Partial Complex. Not to mention Migraine headaches at the age of 13. I sought to learn one item at a time about those conditions. Then at Stanford's doctors library, I learned about the mind, fear, anxiety and trend of though, It changed my life. Since, I learned how to enjoy items I liked and change to doing them at times of increased anxiety. Music can relax your mind many times easier than some medications. Playing games. Like playing cribbage, solitare, bingo can and will often be able to change the course of your fear. Conversations with friends is another element that is often usable. With my Grand Mal seizures, when I blacked out--"there was no guarantee I'd wake up." Growing through those things taught me what Franklin Delano Roosevelt said "the only thing we have to fear, is fear itself." Try to live one day at a time and enjoy it as fully as possible, since many of us may not be here tomorrow.

Best wishes.
