Called the pharamist yesterday. My rheumatologist apparantly put me on a med called Neurontin/ Gabapentin for my fibromyalgia 3 x a day. Has anyone heard of thismed before? Pharmacist said it was similar to Lyrica. I am still going to call the doctors office to make sure. Never been on a med for fibromalgia before. Scared it will effect my other meds since I still have the c-diff intestional infection. I am so scared it will affect the infection that is in my intestional track?
Has anyone heardof this med before? Never been on meds for fibromyalgia?
Feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks,
trouse

Hi trouse my haemotologist adviced me to try gabapentin for pain, but however read up and decided against it. But I did have along talk with my GP in regards to this before I made this decision. Also my staffy dog uses gabapentin to assist him with his itchy skin complaint. I again would speak to my specialist in regards to this as he will be able to answer any questions that concern you. Take care

Why did you decide not to take it, or change your med?

Hi trouse I have to take warfarin for the rest of my life due to ongoing clotting problems and it tends to interact with almost everything so decided not to go down that pathway. I try to control my pain with panadolosteo or codeine when it gets really severe. Take care
