Anyone had Omicron feeling drowsy but no fever

Posted by caontm @caontm, Dec 29, 2022

I think I got Omicron since my family all get it now and they show severe symptoms such as fever, body ache and cough. They all got vaccinated. I didn’t get any vaccine for fear of strong reaction due to my low immune system. Now I don’t get much fever but feel sleepy a lot. I think it might be because my lack of immune reaction to the virus. I started to take paxlovid just in case. Anyone has similar experience? Thanks!

I am getting over a rebound case of Covid after taking Paxlovid. I had 4 vaccinations. I tested positive for Covid on 12/18 and started taking Paxlovid on 12/19 finishing on 12/24. My symptoms were a very bad head cold… runny nose, ears and sinuses plugged up/ headache. The Paxlovid really helped. My pulmonologist told me not to be surprised, if on day 2 through 8 after finishing Paxlovid, the symptoms come back. It is called Paxlovid rebound. I started with my original symptoms Wednesday afternoon 12/28. So I have to quarantine because I am contagious for 5 to 7 days.
I had no cough and have felt sleepy only 1 or 2 days.
It is like getting it twice. No fun

Sorry to hear there was a rebound. That’s quite annoying. Does doctor recommend any other medicine to treat the rebound?

No! The symptoms are not as intense as the first go round. The Paxlovid was really hard on my GI tract and I have no desire to take them again.

I took it also. I felt like I had a sinus infection. Runny nose, sore throat, sneezing and headache. I felt ok on day 8 went on then on the next day BAM. I felt the worst symptoms! I called the doctor and told her I was concerned I had the flu that I felt so terrible She told me to go to ER. I had Covid rebound and I felt a lot worse! My throat was sore, no strep. I have been wearing a mask But earlier in Dec. at my mother's funeral I didn't.

Has the Doc checked your blood pressure? Does low pulse mean low blood pressure? Don’t know.
One thing I do know is that sometimes, when you stand up your blood pressure can drop and make you dizzy. Please get with your blood pressure Doc and be checked out.
