Vein Closure Procedure

Posted by The911Guy @the911guy, Dec 1, 2012

In March '12, I had the vein closure procedure done in my left leg due to repeated superficial clots. It's now 9 months later and I am still experiencing pain from my groin to my foot and general weakness in my leg. My doctor has told me repeatedly that the vein has to shrivel up and is absorbed into the surrounding tissue which can cause "discomfort". I wouldn't describe my sensations as discomfort and I have gone beyond his time estimates for recovery. He still says I need to give it time. I'm wondering if anyone else who has had this procedure has experienced the same problems or if I'm unique. At this point I am wishing I would never had had the procedure even though clots were a continued risk.
