Which muscles should be tested during an EMG study, for femoral neuropathy, especially when hip flexion is absent?

Hello @jcholt23, Welcome to Connect. I don't really have an answer for you but I do think that's a great question for your doctor. If you want to learn about the different EMG tests, here's a site that gives the details on the different nerves tested including the femoral nerve - https://teleemg.com/manual/lower-extremity-nerves/the-femoral-and-sciatic-nerves/.

Do you have an EMG study schedule?

Is okay to use an electric blanket if you, leave it on low?

My guess is no. I believe they alter your sleep pattern.
To aid sleep our temperature drops at night. An electric blanket might alter that.

Omg, I recognize what im looking for. Please help.
I have meralgia paresthetica now for 5 months and my symptoms are severe!!! No quality life.. I am in Arizona and cannot find a surgeon inside the state so far that is familiar with procedures pertaining to the a branch of the Femoral nerve called the LCFN. Lateral cutaneous femoral nerve or LCFN, LCN.
I went to mayo , walked in emergency with the worst abdominal pain I'd ever felt up to that point in my life. Turns out after experiencing a variety of variations of severe yet different sense pain. If I told you all the symptoms its unbearable , unbelievable even to me if I was hearing it unless one has had or worked closely with those with nerve entrapment it's impossible to understand is what I'm learning. I am still looking for specialist among specialist that is familiar with the the femoral nerve surgically?
Oh yeah I have something I can share on the femoral nerve.
