Well, I'm 6 days post op, still in hospital, and back on clear liquid diet. I have a "post op illias" blockage which caused lots of pain and extreme bloating. Can't go home until I can eat soft food. Im feeling frustrated. Miss my dogs, my home. This illias thing came out of no where right when I was getting ready to go home. Has anyone else had to deal with an illias? How long did it take to resolve?

Yes, Lucy. I had the ileus thing twice while in the hospital post surgery. Had to have an NG tube twice which was extreme torture. I was in the hospital 11 days before I finally could tolerate soft food and could be released. I was wondering how you were doing post surgery. Hang in there. It will get better. Let me know how you are doing.
