Need advice!!!!

Posted by chesterj914 @chesterj914, Oct 30, 2012

HI, my name is Chester Jones and 6 months ago I had experienced my first heart attack. Having a heart attack was the worst experience of my life. With that said, my physician told me that my lack of exercise was going to be the death of me. I do understand that I have a weight issue, where I weigh 275 lbs and I am 5’8’’. I work a lot and do not have the time to workout to try to control my weight. Can someone offer me advice on how to manage my weight, taking into account my time constraints. As I said before I am very busy and would love to be around for much longer. I believe if I have another heart attack that I will not make it through.

Hi Chester,

Just take 10 minutes to go for a walk three times a day. Park your car a couple of blocks away. Walk outside ,,,, sunshine and a little breeze is invigorating. Get a work out tape,,,, or tape a program called " Sit and Be Fit". You don't need to find large blocks of time to exercise,,,, walk around the house every-time there is an advertisement on TV til your show starts. Walk to a near by place for lunch instead of driving. Small things that will make a huge difference.

HI Chester,
I had a "widow maker" heart attack about 3 years ago. My doctor said to start slow. Don't try to overdo it. A short walk each day to start. Maybe only 10 minutes at first. The important thing is to do something. When I go to the office, I park on the far side of the parking lot. When I go shopping, I part at the end of the lot. In an office building I usually walk down two flights and up one flight when going to an office.
Keep us posted on your progress.
