Elder Network Offers Technology Assistance

Elder Network, a local non-profit is offering a new Technology Assistance Program for those 55 and better. This program provides an iPad, free internet access and a volunteer as well as technical support to assist seniors to learn the skills needed to use the iPad and apps with confidence. Seniors will be able to stay connected with family and friends via video chat and accomplish important tasks such as accessing telehealth, ordering groceries on line, sending e-mail and even attending educational or physical activity classes on-line.

No but I did phone their number today and left a message. Do you have any experience with them as of yet, teacher502?

No, I don't. But I am not sure that someone even in the mild stages of dementia could work an IPad without assistance. I know my husband has an ipad and finds it confusing now. Even the cell phone is getting hard, and he has progressed from the mild to the moderate stage of LBD.
