@lola88

No surgeries other than after my second child was born. The area between the vagina and anus was pretty torn up and had to go back for surgery. I was told my area was very short between the two. However, it is not until the past year that I have been experiencing pain and burning with intercourse.

@lola88 As we age, there is a lessening of lubrication that the body naturally releases. The lubricants you are using may not be suitable for you, anymore. Also, our vaginas and surrounding genital areas are prone to atrophy simply due to age. My suggestion is to speak with your primary care person [Dr or NP] and inquire about their thoughts based on your particular case. That is what I did, and was able to better understand my situation. Keep in mind, also, there are certain medications that may dry out mucus membranes, and our whole genital areas qualify as a mucus membrane. So, your mouth and sinuses are not the only thing that dries up, so does your nether region!

Please come back and let me know if you are able to get any relief to your concerns>
