Expression of Our Feelings

Posted by piglit @piglit, May 26, 2012

Hello my dear friends I thought that I would start a new post for us and just see how it goes. Each and everyday we experience different ways that we feel. We may feel happy, sad, grumpy, overjoyed. Feelings have a special place in our daily life and I thought that if we wrote and explained how we felt it would be good for us. Anyway let's see how it goes. You may even like to add a little quote as well. Take care hope to hear from you Annie

My dear friends the quotes that i have chosen for today are forgiveness and never to give up. Hope you day is filled with joy and peace

Forgiveness

When you hold resentment toward another,
you are bound to that person,
or condition by an emotional link

that is stronger than steel,
Forgiveness is the only way to dissolve that link
and get free

Remember my dear friends,
The weak can never forgive

Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong..

Never give up.
When you feel like giving up,
remember why you held on for so long
in the first place

Yesterday I dared to struggle,
Today I dare to win.

Always here for you all if you need me
Hope you day is filled with sunshine
Hugs Annie

Piglet......you seem like a very happy lady. I have moved to a new city and am 72 yrs. old. Making friends has been difficult but I manage to keep myself fairly contented with mny knitting, reading, puppy and family. At the moment I am battling bladder infection and nothing is working at the moment. Friends are the garden of life and I left my garden in Calgary. Having family close is wonderful but they are very busy. At times, I have been able to voice my feelings to old friends and it feels so good. I have found a church that is a good place to meet people but my health hasn't been good. I will check in again tomorrow to see what is going on. Mary Ann........from New Westminster.

I am so glad you found Mayo Clinic Connect. This community is very supportive and non-judgemental. Just like Roxie43 said, you'll make friends here.
I know moving is kinda hard. I had to move when I was 8 years old and it was pretty traumatic for me. It took me a little bit to meet friends, but eventually I found people who really care for me. I also ended up really enjoyed the place that I moved to because they have a lot of cool opportunities. They have a really nice YMCA here too. Maybe you could see if there is a YMCA near you. There's a lot of older people that go to YMCA and they have programming for all ages. You'll meet a lot of people there.

I am happy that we have all found Mayo discussions because being supported by others who can genuinely identify with another's struggles is important for the recovery process ...
Hugs,
Rox

HI Roxie. Thanks for your message. It sounds as though there are some friendly women on this message board. I have been suffering with bladder infection but this morning I am feeling better. Not a pleasant time for the past two weeks. It is raining here in New Westminister which is near Vancouver, BC. Talk soon. Mary Ann

My dear friends i welcome you again to express our feelings. I today have chosen Kindness and Hope. I wish your day to be filled with the kindness of others and the hope we all need to uplift our spirits.

Kindness
Love and kindness are never wasted,
They always make a difference,
They bless the one who receives them,
and they bless you the giver.

Always remember my dear friends.
No act of kindness,
however small,
is ever wasted.

Hope
The wings of hope carry us,
soaring high above the driving winds
of life.

Remember also my dear friends,
When the world says "Give up"
Hope whispers,
'Try it one more time'

Always here for you my dear friends

Van Couver is SO BEAUTIFUL! I went there when I was younger and I absolutely adore it. I am glad you're feeling better. Whenever I have a bladder infection I drink a lot of water and eat spinach and other mixed greens. I also drink some organic tea. Doing all that always seem to help.

Hi Little Dreamer
I am off to the lab. Not doing well as it turns out. I do drink a lot of water, but haven't had a lot of spinach except for last night. Gosh I enjoy hearing from my new friends. Today it is raining but tomorrow the sun will shine. I will let you know what the results are. Don't like being in pain. Tomorrow my 7 yr. old grandson is having his first piano recital. I knit a lot and love it. Keeps me sane.....I have a tag for my knitting bag that says "I knit so I won't kill somebody!!!' Helps to keep my thoughts positive and be negative. Life is worth living, AND I WANT TO DO JUST THAT!!!!! MARY ANN
