Sit bone bursitis

Living with sit bone pain for years despite PT, shockwave, PRP and other injections, acupuncture, massage etc.
most pain on sitting.
Anyone aware of new effective treatments?

@sash Having a specific pain for years is so frustrating! Here is a very good description, with illustrations, of what might be happening:

The treatment for chronic inflammation is to figure out a way to calm it. The best way, of course, is to stop doing whatever triggers it, then use an anti-inflammatory to reduce the pain. Next figure out a way to reach the source (which is probably not the bursa at this point) with either trigger point, targeted stretching, or myofascial release therapy. Finally, try to identify the actual cause.

To help us help you, can you tell us a little more? Are you sure you are dealing now with bursitis, or did it begin as bursitis and progress to chronic inflammation of one of the attached ligaments or tendons? How did it start - injury, repetitive motion, overuse? Do you have other inflammatory conditions in your body?

Thanks. Started after low back surgery and sitting a lot during recovery. MRI showed low back not the cause. Diagnosis was upper hamstring tendonopthy

Tried just about everything and dr say may need to live with pain. Problem is alit of things requiring sitting like driving, etc. did have steroid and other injections but didn’t work.

Tendinopathy is tough. My elbow didn't respond to injection either. I use ice & a brace.
Also, when I sciatic and hip issues, I cannot sit in a recliner or other soft seat. Feels better while doing it, but really aggravates it. A firm chair with a fairly firm cushion is better.

I have hip bursitis in my good hip (other has been replaced) I've started taking cbd gummies. Has helped me immensely in that and all other conditions I have. Might be worth a try. If want more info let me know.
