Scalp crusty and patches of hair loss. Also knots on head.

My 4 year old granddaughter has scaling on scalp ( looks like dandruff) her hair is falling out in patches. She also has these nodules under her scalp. She also has tiny bumps on her face tht looks like pimples

My four year old has the "cradle cap" looking patching and no hair grew there. We did online research and thought it might be ring worm. He has a dr apt coming up so I will post what she says about it. No bump on him though.

The Dr. began treating her for ringworms also but I don't think that is correct. She is goin to see a specialist next week. will keep you posted.

Dr did say our son's issue was ringworm (which has nothing to do with worms). 2 month antibiotics and a cream.

I had exact same symptoms just prior to a crohns flare up. I successfully treated the scalp with dandruff shampoo (even tho it clearly was not dandruff) one dr have me some cream to use on "staph infection" and it cleared things up pretty good but I forget what it was called now. I found that those little pimples went away on their own and definitely not to pick those ones! So having said all that I am wondering if it is pointing to her auto ammune system?
