Hi @brinalg1 Well, that’s a nail biter, isn’t it. I think most of us women have had a similar type of experience in our lifetime and it’s very scary worrying about being pregnant or not, when we aren’t ready to be mothers yet! I remember all too well and that was 45+ years ago! What’s still not fair is that we women are the ones who always have to make the effort to remember the birth control…🙄

Are your periods fairly regular that you know when your ovulation day is?
Have you had the Depo-provera shot before? If it’s done on a routine basis of every 12-13 weeks you should be ok. However, if this is your first one, this article below from Healthy Living explains the timing of the shot,

https://healthyliving.azcentral.com/how-soon-does-the-depo-shot-work-12192564.html

“The Depo Provera shot is effective immediately if it is given right after childbirth or if it is given during a menstrual period. However, if the shot is given at a time other than those, it may take up to a week for it become effective, in which case another type of birth control should be used the week following the injection. The shot begins to lose its effectiveness by about 13 weeks after the injection. At that time, women using this type of birth control should use another type of birth control until they are able to get another injection.”

I wish I had a more definitive answer for you but if you are pretty aware of your cycle, and don’t feel that you’ve started ovulating yet, you should be in the clear.
There’s a cervical mucus chart to help better define when you’re ovulating. https://www.plannedparenthood.org/learn/birth-control/fertility-awareness/whats-cervical-mucus-method-fams

Have you tried this method yet?

It’s my first dose… I was on it until October of last year… And had brain surgery so I wasn’t able to go back and get my next one… So I just stayed off of it for awhile… my ovulation start tomorrow… But I just got the shot yesterday
