Atopic Dermatitis: Does Dupixent (dupilumab) help you?

I have been on it for a few weeks.
So far no change.

@burningfeetinphoenix. I found this on the Mayo Clinic site. It gives lots of information about self care for eczema. I don’t know much about how long it would take Duplixent to work—have you talked to your doctor or pharmacist

We’re you ever able to find out what the causative factor was in starting the dermatitis?

@burningfeetinphoenix You know, i decided to look up the possibility of a connection between autoimmune and AD. It was interesting because the researchers were almost evenly split between yes and no. So, now I’ll ask the Autoimmune Association. I’ll let you know!

I agree except Duplixent is advertised for AD and it is a a MAB for autoimmune diseases. I read the clinical trials and they found drug very effective for AD.. I found this article on this subject - link below. LMK what you find out. I am seeing another dermatologist for a second opinion. Thank you so much for your help! Pam

I have heard it works wonders, however when a few people went off it the problem came back. I would love to try it however the doctors say I don't have enough percentage of eczema on my whole body to do so. I have it on my fingers, I need my hands, at times my fingers are split bleeding and hurt so much. Vitamins and antihistamines are getting me through rough times.

@burningfeetinphoenix. Hi, Pam. Sorry it took me a few says to read the articles. I came to Washington, DC to help my mother and lots of things got in the way. The article was very interesting! And so much work involved before they even got to the actual study. Yikes! AD seems to be connected with certain, specific autoimmune diseases.
Have you had symptoms of any ‘strange’ diseases?

Thanks.! No, I have never had any of these other conditions, only AD. (Well that is my current diagnosis). I am looking at other MAB's for AD and some other similar drugs that act similarly. My life is really being turned upside down due to this skin problem. My research is leading me in so many different directions. I tried to get into Mayo here in Phoenix to no avail. I am going to call Jacksonville tomorrow. Unfortunately my dermatologist is not being very helpful.
