I was diangnosed at age 42. 19 years later I am no better off. Still no know cause (not diabetic). I take Ultram, Tegretol,& Lyroca which makes it tolerable – barely. Lately my hands are burning much more than my frrt. I would give every penny I have to be cured. It;s horrible!
Don’t expect to get better, only worse. Keep exercising to avoid getting worse. Any experience with ” water walking ” as a therapy??
I too have athrophied, 2″ in circumference to both calf and arm muscles. Any experience using ” water walking” in a pool as a therapy?
Thanks for your response. My doctors said the Gabapentin could effect my speech, but they said nothing about my memory. I do appreciate your comments and I will do additional research. Unlike you, I do get exercise by cycling about 100 miles per week with a club and I have nerve loss in mu hands as well as my feet and lower legs. Balance is not good at all due to foot problems. Have you heard anything about loosing toe nails as part of this condition?
