Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Blood Clot and symptomatic AFib

Posted by afibjan @afibjan, Feb 5, 2022

After 6 weeks I still have the clot and it is the same as the last TEE. I am still in symptomatic AFIB. New blood thinner Eliquist. Why is it taking so long to go away?

@afibjan I am sure you were hoping for resolve on a quicker timeline. Our bodies are each unique and respond differently to medications. Can I start by asking you what you were told you could reasonably expect for a timeline from your Cardiologist?

What if this clot doesn't dissolve? I have been switched from Xarelto to Eliquist now until my next TEEat the end of March! Remain in AFIB! Anyone have this happen?
