Posted by yrmoore333 @yrmoore333, Nov 27, 2011

I have seen 14 dermatologiest, 25 samples of blood, 11 byopsies from my penis, 53 medicines have been tried. All of this over 3 years and 4 months. Three V.A. clinics [V.A. Loma Linda in Loma LInda California, V.A. Hospital in San Deigo, Las Vegas, Nevada Dermatology Dept in Las Vegas, A private Dermatologist in Chino Calfornia for one year, and now starting a combination of a Private Dermatologiest in Las Vegas as I continue the start of my 2nd year with the V.a. hospital dermatology dept. in Las Vegas, Nevada..

All test have come back negative. All 14 dermatologiest have no idea what I have. Where do I go? I give up.

I hate to say it but you keep doing research and keep going to doctors. Eventually they will figure it out. I have severe itching that they've not even tried to DX. My doctors have all written it off to anxiety. Which it may be. Or not. Who knows for sure? Itching is one of the most difficult things to get a definitive diagnosis on. So I take Zertec and now Xyzal which is the new improved Zertec. It takes care of most of the itching and have recently added Zantac to that and that seems to take care of the rest of it. I understand your frustration. Have they tried any treatments that work?

I suffered from itching since I was 14 or may be 15. For last 20 years I used some ointment and could manage the itching for most of the time. But every now and then I had to use the itch guard or some other ointments.

Recently I found the reasons for itching. It is use of soaps, chemicals and shampoos. Stop using all chemicals completely. Wash with plain cold water 2 to 3 times in a day. Reduce ur water (fluid) intake to 2 glasses a day. Drink 1 glass of water 1 hour before lunch and dinner. U may even try giving up water for 24 hours once in 7 days. Itching and fungus is caused due to excess water just under the skin. There is a leakage from capillaries in that area. It may take more than 1 month to get complete and sure relief.

However if u are able to get any relief from any medicine do let the whole world know.

What symptoms do you have. I have had about the same experience and they want to label it as dermatitis and move on. I have even had about 10 tell me to "stop scratching and it will go away." None have helped to cure the bumps, severe itching and all around uncomfortableness that I am experiencing.

There is no use. If at all you decide to use antifungals, try to understand how it works. To the best of my knowledge - all these so called antifungals contain steroids. Application of steroids will delay your natural recovery. I would not recommend use of any type of chemical.
