How do I get some sleep?

For years now I've been getting real sleep every few days. Like now I've been up since two thirty this morning. I'm full of anger all the time, and for what I don't know. I have problems w/ pain,(mostly in my neck, and from severe rls), acid reflux to the point of wanting to throw up nightly and depression. It's gotta come from the lack of sleep. I've try'd all kinds of anti-depressants, talking about my problems w/ a theropist only makes things worse. I'm getting desperate. I don't want to become suicidal but I'm very close to the breaking point. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Stop telling yourself you can't quit, dear, please....please... ask a dr or counselor if there is a support group you could join...Please honor yourself and do this for yourself.

You need to get to a pain clinic. The only thing that worked for me was narcotics. At least I could sleep.

If I was sleep deprived I’d be angry too.
When you eat sit stright and don't have anything tight around your belly. And, don't bend at the waist unless absolutely necessary. Ease the flow of the food you intake.

Generally Melatonin an hour before bedtime works well for me. I take 3mg Schiff's Melatonin Plus.

Sometimes I switch to an over the counter sleep aid like a Target 25mg Night Time Sleep Aid. I do not use either for long periods. After 3 to 6 months I switch. Getting too use to anything will stop working.

I also take 2 Aleve before bedtime to relieve pain.

If the problem really persists I will take Ativan or Lorazepam for which I need a prescription. I need no more than 1mg and sometimes half or quarther that. Three or four nights gets me back to a good sleep routine.

I will not watch anything disturbing at bedtime. Golden Girs or Frasier is all the excitement I need before going to sleep. That or I may look for a boring radio talk show.

Also, and I don't know why, I drink a can of diet Ginger Ale before going ot bed. Perhaps to swallow any pill.

May I add, if a doctor or therapist doesn't work get rid of them. Your anger may be that you are relying on doctors and therapist that can only "guess" what is wrong. You are not suicidal. Get that out of your head. Your problem may be that you are not working out your own problem. Think about that and work on it. You can do it.
