What are the Side effects of Geodon?

Has anyone been on Geodon?

Have you been prescribed this medication?

I'm on geodone and love it. I have not experienced any of the side effects listed on the geodon website. I think the most important to note would be heart rhythm changes.

Yes I just started it. The side effects listed are serious and that’s why I am trying to get more information. I take medication for high blood pressure. Concerned about the effects on the heart

Also did you gain weight? I was on abilify and I gained 50 lbs.

They are supposed to help with depression and anxiety. Have you experienced weight gain? Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

It’s good that you’re concerned about the drug side effects and drug interaction with your anti hypertension meds. The only CV related issue I found in Medscape Drugs was tachycardia (rapid heart rate) with a 2% occurrence rate from studies. There is also orthostatic hypotension associated with it so check with your PCP or whom ever prescribed your BP meds. Hope the new meds helps you get well.

I went on seroquel and gained 60, then lost 40, only to gain 15 back when going to ability. When I went from ability to geodon like eight years ago, 20 pounds sort of fell off of me! The least of the anti-psychotics in terms of weight gain. Never, ever go on Zyprexa if that is a concern.
