Accessing necessary paperwork from an iPad without access to a laptop

Posted by lindley914 @lindley914, Jan 10, 2022

I’m looking to become a living kidney donor for a high school friend, but I only have access of my iPhone or iPad. Will I be able to access the necessary paperwork without a laptop or computer?

I assume you are speaking about the Health History Questionnaire at - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/blog/transplant/tab/resource-38/

Scroll to the bottom of that page for a contact link that will take you directly to the Transplant Center. "If you have questions at any time, feel free to contact us. Thank you in advance for your generous offer to be a living donor!"

Thank you for your generosity. Thank you for considering living organ donation.

Lindley, How did you learn about your how school friend's need for a kidney transplant donor?

@lindley914, thanks for considering organ donation! The Mayo Clinic form should work on an iPad. We just want people to be thoughtful and intentional when filling out the form, and we would rather have them do that at home and not waiting in line for the car wash or something. 🙂

Thank you for your quick response.
My friend has been on the transplant list since April or May. He has a genetic disease. His father had a successful transplant in the 1990’s. His older brother died from complications after his transplant surgery several years later. I’ve known him and his family most of my life. Thanks for asking!

Thanks for that entertaining information. Can’t believe some people would take their decision so lightly as to fill out the paperwork on a whim!

@lindley914, You are a the perfect example of a real friend. I have just heard from a friend that her friend received a kidney from a guy who used to work with her years ago. She is already back home and doing well. This made me think of you.
Were you able to access the paper work online? Do you know how long it will be until you her from the transplant department?
