Trilogy machine: new and is causing issues like sore throat

Posted by crowe21 @crowe21, Dec 11, 2021

I am a caregiver my dad is in rehab and using a trilogy machine that is new to him he complains that he has a sore throat and is not able to swallow. Has anyone else had this experience?

Hi @crowe21, it can take some adjustments to the settings. I'm tagging fellow Triology users like @ann1415 @bosabear20 @cepheid815 @vincejames @stewie @dreeves @protem to see if they have some advice.

Crowe, has someone helped your dad with setting up the machine? May I ask, does he have COPD and is in lung rehab?

REPLY

he has bronchiectasis he is in a rehab center right now but not specifically lung rehab. They did show my mom how to set it up before leaving the hospital. So she does it when she is there and the nurse does it when she is not there.

It's been a few days. Is it going better with the Trilogy machine?

Good Morning. I was also wondering if your Dad's sore throat was getting any better. Hopefully, it is. I have some follow-up questions if it is not getting better but I will wait to see if he is feeling better before asking. Fingers crossed.
