Bone pain from Tamoxifen

Any supplements or treatments you can recommend for bone pain from taking tamoxifen?

Is your daughter having these issues as well from tamoxifen? I would like to preface any other comments by saying if she is having a localized area of bone pain she should immediately get ahold of her doctor, because that could be a different kind of problem.
For all over bone pain, I actually took long acting diclofenac when necessary. This is a prescription pharmaceutical not a supplement. I did have a friend whom I advocated for, that said a nightly glass of magnesium supplement called calm helped.
Please discuss this with the doctor before using this as it is a salt in the body and too much might be a problem as well.
I know you have posted before, about other side effects, and it sounds like your daughter is really having a tough time with this treatment. Has she discussed all these side effects she is having with her doctor? Making sure that these side effects are being addressed properly by her doctor, and she isn’t doing some harm from mixing treatments and any other supplements she might be taking for the other side effects you have posted about?

Thank you for your reply. She was seeing ortho for hip pain prior to her breast cancer diagnosis. She has had a couple of steroid injections for arthritis and possible labrum tear. She is getting an MRI next month. She started having more generalized bone pain in her pelvis and lower back and she says she had the same kind of pain when she was pregnant and thinks it may be from the tamoxifen. I will have her reach out to her doctor. She doesn't take anything without checking with her doctor first.

Hello
I am on my 3rd chemo round.
The lower back pain similar to back labor was a symptom I had.
I advised my doctor and they managed this symptom and this round I do not feel the back pain.
Large bones will have pain as your body is trying to produce more white blood cells and those large bones are sources.
Talk to your doctor to make sure it is not something more.
The doctors were great to work with to manage this symptom to just a small ache.
