Noopl Hearing Assist In Noisy Environments

Hello: Anyone have any knowledge of a company named NOOPL? Apparently it is an Apple Iphone add on that a person can use to help hear better in noisy environments...Any feedback appreciated!

@scottk You may want to search on YouTube. I've watched several of the videos. The product seems impressive. It looks like it would be a great product if you're in the mild to moderate range and you also want to invest in the Apple Airpod Pro. It's designed to work with Apple Airpod Pro and any MFi (Made for iPhone) hearing aid. I understand they're working on an Android product. They say you'll "hear better in noisy environments" may only be a sales gimmick. All of the Big 5 hearing aid companies make the same claim but we still struggle to understand speech in those environments. Airpod Pro's have built in gyros so they know the head orientation. The Noopl takes advantage of that to focus the microphone beam based on sounds in front of you. I have MFi hearing aids so would not be able to take advantage of that feature. Since my loss is severe to profound, I doubt I would benefit by removing my hearing aids and only using the Airpod Pro. I'd love to try the product out to actually find out if there is any noticeable difference.

Thanks Tony! I too have severe to profound hearing loss and that is why I reached out with the question! Like you said the NOOPL is $249 and the AIRPODS are $179...so...currently I am upgrading my 5 year old Phonak's(I also have the Compilot for phone/TV since they did not have BT). The new ones are the Paradise version....I don't mind replacing batteries for the simple fact I know one night I will forget to charge and not have them for the next morning!)...I get good insurance coverage so I want to make sure I buy them before I go on Medicare in 2023. Will keep you posted!

@scottk Sounds good. I have 4 year old Resound Linx3D aids. I bought the Resound micro mic that I use in the situations that you've described. Every PSAP that I've ever tried did not work well for me. Can't beat the custom mold with the receiver in the canal (RIC). I doubt the NOOPL will outperform my aids but it would be nice to talk to someone that has benefited from the device

Tony...and having Apple in the hearing game just adds to the research and competition! Should help!
