Hi @surajmalwade, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. This is a public forum where you can connect with other patients and caregivers like you. It is not a place to connect with Mayo Clinic physicians or to get professional treatment advice. Because the website is public, I have removed your mother's medical records from your post to protect her privacy.

Mayo Clinic does not have a location in India, however, there is a clinic in London, England in case that is an option for you. You might also consider contacting the Indian Cancer Society https://www.indiancancersociety.org/ They offer free tele-counselling, CANCER HELPLINE: 1800-22-1951

I was contacted on Friday Sept 9th that a CT of my abdomen showed a mass in my pancreas, spots on my liver and one kidney. The CT was done at the Crosby Hospital. I need to find a medical team that has expertise in pancreatic cancer. How do I do that?

Hello @pcaspers Welcome to MayoClinic Connect. We’re all patients with difficult diagnoses, or families and caregivers of patients. We’re not medical professionals so we are unable to diagnose or prescribe. We try to help each other with information and resources and experiences from our own health journeys.
You’ve certainly gotten a difficult diagnosis .Has your local doctor given you any advice on finding a good team? My suggestion would be to locate a university teaching hospital or major medical center near you. This is what i had to do. The local hospital couldn’t recognize what i had going on in my brain so my husband called the university medical center about 30 miles away. The intake person asked a lot of questions and decided that I needed to be seen in the neurology clinic. Now, i have a great doctor who directs all my care. You could ask about oncologists and surgeons, at the university or medical center, who treat possible pancreatic cancer.
If you think you might like to go to Mayo Clinic, here is a link: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63
Do you have someone who could help you make these phone calls?

I would go to UCLA Pancreatic cancer Dr Wainburg and he works with Dr Donahue for surgery. Stanford hospital and Mayo are popular. UCLA has a rare radiation machine new can attack cells without harming neighboring cells. Chemo forfiranox? sp is best for shrinking tumor. Look at all hospitals for video of drs discussing treatment at UCLA it's the h
Hershinburg foundation. The radiation machine does treatment that takes 5 days instead of 30 days. Also Sloan Kettering has good informing videos and I'm sure Stanford has them but didn't search. Good Luck! I did chemo three months than surgery then 3 months more of chem but now the standard of care is also radiation to eliminate any left over cells. I was in NED (no evidence of disease for three years then it came back in old site of tumor nd in lungs. They ablated the lung nodules but now too many small ones so Im on a drug trial. Did nothing for a year and a half because it's slow growing or stable. Good Luck!
