Anything to gain?

Reading of the experiences of forum contributors who have visited and been treated at a Mayo location has prompted me to wonder if I’d have anything to gain from doing so. Considering that I’m nearly two years flare-up free, supported by faithfully nebbing 7% saline solution twice daily, I suspect the visit, if not a “fools errand,” would be, at best, an interesting, albeit pricey undertaking. So here I remain, in the solar oven commonly known as Texas. Don

@thumperguy Don, you will see there are many members on here who are Mayo Clinic patients. And some of us [like me] who are not. What works for each member is having a medical team they are confident in, and receiving the best care for their particular health situation.

Is there a health concern you have that you feel would be best addressed by Mayo Clinic? If so, which campus would you choose to try for an appointment - Rochester [MN], Jacksonville [FL], or Scottsdale [AZ]?

I think my post sorta conveys that I have no compelling reason to visit a clinic, though if I did I’d probably opt for Arizona. Don

Don, as you know from your experiences in the MAC & Bronchiectasis group, Connect members come from all over. Some are Mayo Clinic patients, some are not - like you. I'm happy that your care is being well managed close to home. Should your situation change or that of a family member, you know that you can learn from fellow members about their experiences at Mayo Clinic when considering your options of where to seek excellent care.
