I suggest short visits with anyone that is recovering from esophagectomy. It’s extremely tiring and need a lot of time dedicated to either tube feedings or when able to actually eat, they must eat VERY slowly, chew excessively and frequent small meals. Visits over an hour interrupt the nutrition schedules.

That is such a valuable tip, @survivorsuz. Visitors often lose track of time and don't realize how exhausting visits can be, not to mention how much of your day is dedicated to "nutrition acquisition."

What strategies have you developed to signal or tell people that the visit is over?
