Arthritis & Neuropathy

Posted by ttl1520 @ttl1520, Jun 14, 2021

Hi, my name is Ted. I have arthritis in my right knee & left foot. Some starting in my right foot. I have numbness in my toes both feet. I had Muscle & large nerve tests in my legs. MRI on lower back fairly normal Normal. I have had extensive blood work. Was low on zinc. My shins hurt most of the time and my thighs hurt when active. The neurologist doesn't want to do small nerve test, because of possible permanent nerve numbness. I have leg fatigue after moderate use. This is more of a problem than the pain. Wondering what to do next? Can inflammation from arthritis cause easy fatigue?

@lbroomayo1 Good morning, Lynn. Wow.....the Jane Fonda Workouts. I remember that my father gave me her book when I turned 40 or 45. He thought I worked too hard and was concerned that I lived alone. I spent about 10 years flying around the country for a Canadian company, Systemhouse, LTD. We installed first-time computer systems in grocery stores, architectural firms, and manufacturing entities. At that time, folks were frightened about computers and afraid that system installations would eliminate jobs.

I just wanted them to cut their fingernails so they didn't tap dance on the keyboard.

May you have happiness today and the causes of happiness.

Thanks Chris. I also bought a copy of the book. I later I used VCR tapes, then Youtube. Recently I purchased my own genuine collection of Jane Fonda Workouts. I have trimmed down 22 lbs since the Pandemic using the program. I swear by them. Best.

I bought my copy around 1984, after reading an article that Princess Dianna used the exercise program, featured in a magazine. I've been exercising that long. I no longer have the book, just 21st century CD collection.

Hmm, did you have the headbands and all too? When our kids were small, one of them liked the workouts on TV - I was more of a "go out in the yard and pull weeds" sort. Used to use the hotel fitness rooms when I traveled because nobody wanted to run or walk with me after work...installing computer systems for the US Treasury all over the country. I just wanted them to WAIT to start touching things until I explained what to do! VBG

Oh my gosh....I was a Systems Implementation Manager and spent a crazy few years as the only American on the install team. We patched apps together......and one of my jobs was making sure the programmers showed up. It was interesting to see the CFOs and CEOs try to avoid me. I told them they could take over when they knew as much as I did. Truth be told, I was staying up nights, especially with the Accounting modules to stay ahead of them. All of my installs were first-timers......a grocery chain of 93 stores, a design firm with apartment projects, and a carnival toy firm that stuffed animals all day.

Oh compared to that my job was boring - we just had to teach a roomful of people how to maintain and upgrade their own hardware and software, manage security and load data. One of my coworkers was a blind guy who could stand up band teach from memory, another broke her leg and taught from a wheelchaiir...
