@lotsofpain I swear my oven rack jumps out at my hand to do the same thing...loves to leave sear marks on the top of my hand ☺️ I take no blame for being clutzy...
Joking aside, those little burns can hurt like the dickens. You’re doing everything right, though my dermatologist has recommended as the scab heals to keep a light film of petroleum jelly over it to keep the scab from drying out. It will heal cleaner underneath preventing a noticeable scar. Not recommended is antibiotic cream or any other lotions. It doesn’t require a bandaid/plaster unless you’re concerned about protecting it from dirt from gardening and such.

Thank you I will try the petroleum jelly my experience with plasters on Burns is that it tends to make them sweat and get damp but spray plaster create a breathable but protective film

@lotsofpain, there’s no reason to not continue using the spray plaster if it’s working for you. ☺️ It would provide the similar covering of the petroleum jelly without the greasiness. I think the main goal is keeping the scab soft while providing a minimal layer of protection.

I am finding the scar is healing but its in a place where if i bend my fingers it stretches the scab which makes things a bit worse. will it help healing if i can keep my hand straight and if so how do i do it

Hi! I’m glad it’s healing well but I know what you mean about scars getting stiff. This is what was suggested to me with some of the ‘battle’ scars from my chest ports to keep from scarring. (Spelling??).

When dealing with scar tissue it’s suggested to moisturize with a lotion such as shea butter, coconut oil, etc.. Then massage the area several times a day in the direction of the scar for a few minutes. It helps the area remain supple and also helps promote new collagen growth. Don’t be afraid to move the fingers because you don’t want to lose that mobility. Show it who’s boss. ( but massage it first!!) ☺️
