Keeping “Flare Ups” at bay

Thanx to “The 7% Solution” I haven’t swallowed an antibiotic for the past 18 months.

@thumperguy that is great news! Please tell me me, do you always get flare ups after a cold or do they just happen and how do you know you are having a flare up. I have mild Bronchiectasis right now but do not know what to look for for when it gets worse. Big Thanks Heather

I’m so scared about getting a cold. Do they always turn into flare-ups? When you get a cold, do you go on antibiotics right away?

I’ll be visiting my grandchildren soon. I’m prepared with an antibiotic at hand just in case.

That 7% does it for me too! Don’t you have a vest?

I was that way for a long time too. Now I take a little different approach, at first exposure or hint of a cold I use ZiCam. So far I have managed to stay healthy through grandkids colds and sniffly friends. But my last 2 colds have been just that, no bronchitis, no pneumonia.

I would caution you against taking antibiotics for a cold - colds are viruses, which are not cured by antibiotics. Overuse of antibiotics when you don't need them can cause them to be ineffective for you when you do.

Agree, Sue, and thx for reminder. When I thought I had a cold coming on, I was prescribed an antibiotic (whose side effects scared me). I decided not to take it. I didn’t end up having a cold. I’m glad I didn’t take the antibiotic! I was told to keep it on reserve especially if I’m traveling.
I also have some Standard Process supplements (I think one is Thymax) to take at first signs of sickness. But I’m going to check out ZiCam. Susan

I do the same thing -- ZiCam is my go to at the first thought that I might be getting sick. I also take an extra Vitamin C. I've got my 26 year old son doing the same thing. Seems to be working for us.

I think maybe I‘ve “aged out “ on colds. I can’t remember the last time I had one. Maybe I’ve had enough of them to have a virus from every Hamlet and now have blanket immunity. 😉

And flare ups are now well controlled since discovering the virtues of 7% saline. BTW, my definition of a flare up is when I develop a fever; then I know I’m sick. Don
