Hello @hcollado and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, an online patient support group where patients share their experiences and offer support. I am glad to hear that you reached out to Mayo Clinic to get a correct diagnosis.

From what I have read about this problem, it appears as if this involves the small vessels of the brain. Is this correct? Do you know what area of the brain was affected?

Here is a discussion group on Connect that deals with small vessel disease. As you read the posts and respond (by clicking on Reply) perhaps you can get more information and/or support.

Does your doctor offer you any suggestions as to how to deal with this and if it can be corrected through some type of physical therapy?

Both strokes occurred on the right side of the pons. I was told to take 325 aspirin everyday, I’m extremely sensitive to most meds. The dr told me it would come and go but diet and exercise would help limit the frequency. Very frustrating!
