Orthopaedic Laser Post Shoulder Replacement

Posted by mwsa1945 @mwsa1945, Apr 13, 2021

My daughter is undergoing shoulder replacement surgery in early May and has asked about laser therapy pre and post surgery for pain management. I could only find ads online that of course were positive. Any practical or medical references or experience from this group? Thanks.

My accident was Sept . Of last year.
I fell onto my elbow backwards jamming my shoulder. My socket was completely obliterated which is why they did a Reverse shoulder replacement. My joint in my elbow was ruined as well. The same injury broke my hip and wrist as well.
I had to wait a week for the shoulder and elbow surgery to be done on the same day. Afterwards they sent me for rehab on my hip. My arm was not worked with in rehab for three weeks. I did start rehab on arm after I started walking . Eight weeks into my Physical therapy they discovered that the hinge in my shoulder was broke and I needed yo stop therapy and redo surgery. I had to wait another month for that surgery.
That brings you up to date. Two surgeries and many many doctor visits to the “Carrell clinic “ (the best; supposedly world class), and I’m in misery. Trying acupuncture, and all sorts of pain treatments. Some help temporarily.
Just trying to see if I’m heading into a lifetime of this.
