I there were 6 or 8 pages of notices. I read them and trashed one by one. After I deleted the last one I went to the first page to see if any new messages came in but all the messages were still there so I deleted all of them.

Jake, they were probably all still there because you used the back button on your phone. Once moving to a new page, they would have registered as deleted.

Maybe Iā€™m missing some of your conversations and forgive me if Iā€™m speaking out of turn, but if this is regarding deleting all the notifications, you donā€™t need to read through all of them before you can Delete All.

In reply to Lori....thx for the reply, but I have not had any luck getting the ā€œdelete allā€ button to work. I can only delete one message at a time and presently there are over 700, so my decision was to just leave them.😜

Migizii, what browser do you use? For example, Chrome, Safari, Duck Duck Go, Firefox?

@ess77 and @migizii, I have found that changing from email to on-site notifications to a little get used to, but, like @amandajro, I much prefer it now and find it faster. How are you doing with the on-site notifications now? Have you found an approach that works for you?

@migizii, you do not have to delete each notification separately if you do not want to. As Lori mentioned, you can deleted all of them and start at zero again.

The feedback from everyone is really useful to help us perfect the system.

Several people were having issues with on-site notifications if they are using the browser Duck Duck Go. We're working on resolving the issue. If you are using Duck Duck Go, try switching to Chrome, Safari or other browser until we fix the issue with Duck duck Go.

@ess77, sometimes people will go on a tangent in a discussion - such is conversation. So that's probably why you saw fibro messages in the dry eyes discussion.

@jakedduck1, you can delete notifications in 2 ways: one at a time or all of them in one swoop as you discovered. Deleting one page at a time or selecting a number to delete at once is a good idea. For example, I would like to be able to filter all the messages associated with a specific discussion and then delete those messages in one go. Great idea. I'll submit it to the developers.

The trash can works for me on my Android phone and on my iPad. Jake, can you describe what is not working with the trash can?

@colleenyoung Hello, looks like you're getting caught up with every single question. I'm sure everyone appreciates your help. You've really done an impressive job on this.
About the discussion with the fibromyalgia and dry eye groups. They were different people and it didn't make any sense at all. It almost seemed the 2 groups were interchanged for a second.
I'm still 'figuring it out' how I want to find my messages. I'm using both front page and notifications, and the 2-3 I get in e-mail.
Blessings to you and everyone still below freezing!!! elizabeth, from Fl

@migizi in reply to Colleen......thx again for your feedback but I have found no way to delete my messages except one at a time....my bell symbol will not allow me to do it any other way. I use an IPad if that makes any difference.

@migizii have you tried restarting your iPad? See if that will clear things so that you can try deleting all again by going into your notifications but not by using the bell.

@migizii I just had another thought! When you try to ā€œdelete allā€ does it look like all the notifications have been deleted on the page but up in the bell it shows you still have all the number of notifications in red?
Do you then hit the back arrow to return to another page?? Try not hitting the back arrow. Instead, to return to the home page just touch the black, large print Mayo Clinic Connect in the upper left corner.
Youā€™ll see that the notifications have been cleared. If you use that back arrow it will be returning you to a previous page and all the notifications WILL still be there. You need to actually get out of that page by going somewhere else, not just going ā€˜backā€™. Mayo Clinic Connect will take you to that home page...

@migizii
I think someone may have answered this. I installed the Mayo Clinic App on my iPad a couple of years ago and just recently on my Android phone. Both apps were from a Mayo Clinic Online Community ad and both look and act a little differently. My Android app does not have a bell for instance.

When you want to clear notifications on any device touch your photo at the right hand top where it says @migizii . It will show you some options one of which is Notifications.
Select Actions down below in blue and it will give you the option to clear all notifications.
Select that and you will see a message that they are currently clearing all your notifications and you will get an email once done. I waited once after this message to see if the number of notifications cleared and it did...takes several seconds.

At that point I usually jump to my email to see if it was done. I canā€™t do this from my emails but have to go to the home page on both apps. Generally anytime you select a back button you are reverting backwards so donā€™t do that.

Maybe this will help. I also use Safari but I donā€™t think that should matter. I think each persons Home Page will look a little different and I just played around until I discovered how it operates.
BUT again, I can do none of this from my emails just delete them from my emails as I read (or not). I still go to the home page because the notifications are still there even if I have trashed them in my emails. Two separate things.

Hope I am making sense.
