16 year old son has been diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri

My 16 year old son has been diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri and has had 10 spinal taps in the past 19 months. Optimisitically, only 2 taps in the last 11 months. I am looking for ways to be proactive and not reactive when his cranial pressure increases and it's time for another tap. Does anyone have nay experience with the treatment of this condition or possibly been mis-diagnosed and we should be looking at other treatments. Any help is appreciated. Thank you all.

Hi - I'm not sure if you've already seen this information, but there's some content on pseudotumor cerebri here: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pseudotumor-cerebri/DS00851.

there's a mayo video on surgery to release pressure. from the video it looks very effective and the elderly patient is very happy with the outcome.

sorry, i should have added this surgery is on the eyes because of the pressure on the brain and it protects the eyes from being affected.
