arthritis

I just found out I have arthritis in my neck. what can I expect, and will the pain ever go away?

I also have arthritis in my neck, i was diagnosed ten years ago, it will probually alway hurt, mine does, some days more than others. A pain relief for me is, hot bath, then rub BioFreez on it then ice,,,on a bad day swich ice and heat. Never leave either on for more then 10minutes at a time. And just dont try and over do it.

I just found out via a car crash, I'm going to a doc, on the 7th, I'm scared because the doc is an ortho surgeon. Does that mean I have it bad? Do you have any tips on convincing my spouse to help around the house? He dosen't seem to understand.

I saw two Neuro surgeons for my neck problems (which are bad: stenosis arthritis, advanced joint & disc deterioration) and they both told me NOT to go to a Orthopedic Surgeon b/c they would want to operate and stick metal bars and screws in there and they have so many patients they are basically repair jobs from these guys. Then my PT's told me the same thing. I go to the Chiropractor, Massage, and stretch as much as possible. Bio Freeze along with heat/ice is fantastic too!

I'll keep that in mind. Does it seem weird that I had no syptems before the crash?
I find it too coincedental. what is Bio freeze? I just want the pain and the head aches to go away. And get a good nights sleep w/out pills.

I SURELY HOPE YOU DON'T NEED SURGERY, ESPECIALLY ON THE NECK. HIS BEING A SURGEON DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN SURGERY. IF YOU ARE INDICATING YOU HAVE ARTHRITIS, DO A WEB SEARCH ON "HYALURONIC ACID". IT HAS STOPPED MY ARTHRITIS PAIN. THE BEST PLACE (AND LESS EXPENSIVE) IS "THE VITAMIN SHOPPE". IF YOUR TOWN DOESN'T HAVE ONE, THEY SHOULD SELL IT ONLINE. TAKE 100 MG CAPSULES DAILY.

QUITE BY ACCIDENT, WHILE SEARCHING ANOTHER TOPIC ON THE WEB, I CAME ACROSS A PIECE ON HYALURONIC ACID ALLEVIATING ARTHRITIS PAIN. IT IS A NATURAL SUBSTANCE (PROBABLY WHAT ROOSTER SHOTS ARE MADE FROM). I TAKE TWO CAPSULES DAILY, EACH CONTAINING 100MG OF THE HYALURONIC ACID. THE BEST PLACE TO GET IT WHERE I LIVE IS "THE VITAMIN SHOPPE",. THEIR 100 MG ALSO HAS 199 MG OF COLLAGEN . IT WORKS FOR ME AND A FRIEND AT THE GYM TRIED IT AND SAID IT'S WORKING FOR HER (AND SHE SAID SHE'S GOING TO GIVE IT TO HER HUSBAND, TOO!)
